National Centre for Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Practice

The centre (PDF file, 102kb) launched in February 2009 at the Auckland University of Technology (AUT) North Shore campus will ensure that New Zealand health services of the future are based on interdisciplinary co-operation and collaboration and inter-sectoral and cross-sectoral working.

The centre has four main functions:

  1. Education
  2. Research
  3. Practice development (including an on-site integrated healthcare clinic)
  4. AUT's Ara Hauora Maori or Maori Pathway.
